Dr. Amy Tran is a college graduate of UCLA, where she earned Bachelor of Science degrees in Biological Sciences and Anthropology.
She received her Doctorate of Dental Surgery degree through the accelerated program at the University of the Pacific School of Dentistry in San Francisco.
Dr. Tran was born and raised in Orange County, California. Her parents were refugees from Vietnam who fled to the United States as a result of the Vietnam War. From them, she learned the value of hard work, persistence, and altruism.
After practicing in Southern California for a few years following dental school, Dr. Tran moved back to the Bay Area to establish her permanent home. Over the course of her career, she has had the fortunate opportunity to practice dentistry in diverse clinical settings, and now looks forward to serving her home community.
Apart from her practice of dentistry, Dr. Tran believes in the importance of contributing to her community and volunteering to help underserved communities. In addition to local community events, Dr. Tran was a volunteer dentist during a mission trip to Vietnam in 2016, where she helped to provide oral exams and emergency treatments to remote villagers. Dr. Tran also works on the Editorial Board at the local dental society, as she believes in the value of sharing and disseminating information within the dental community to make possible professional growth.
Dr. Tran’s mission is to make dentistry a pleasant experience for her patients by practicing with compassion, delivering quality service, and ensuring individualized care. Together with her dental Team, she hopes to create lasting positive relationships with her patients, and to empower them with the tools, techniques, and knowledge to maintain a lifetime of good oral health.
Dr. Tran and her staff attend hours of continuing education which exceed requirements, and are committed to the most modern, up-to-date techniques and methods to treat her patients.
When she is not practicing dentistry, Dr. Tran enjoys growing her creativity through arts and crafts, improving her cooking skills, learning the intricacies of gardening, taking fitness classes, and practicing the piano.
